Sony IP Music Player has archaic touch interface

... first version, the device identifies virtual files on a desktop and creates icons for them in its display. The file can be accessed directly through the device. In the second version, the player has an accompanying stylus/stick that you place on the surface of the device to create sound and animations. We still aren’t quite sure about the basic process involved, so take a look at the video at the source to pick up your own perspective.

... concepto pero quizá algún día verá la luz y descansará en las tiendas sólo para que el usuario lo tome entre sus manos y haga con él lo que le plazca. Porque el punto de partida de esta idea es un puntero que se inserta en una superficie con pequeños orificios para así generar el sonido que vendrá acompañado con animaciones. También hay otra versión que es ligeramente distinta pues a la hora de acceder a la música lee archivos virtuales sobre una pantalla.

... unlike any other. You place a stick in different spots on the player’s surface to create different sounds and animations. Just from the pictures, it reminds me of the Lite Brite I had as a kid.
There is another version of the IP Music Player that reads virtual files that you place on any desktop. Cool stuff but definitely outdated. Perhaps that’s the point. At any rate, don’t expect to get your hands on one soon as it’s only a concept.
