Engadget — ... a 1.33GHz Intel CPU, a hard drive up to 60GB (or a 128GB SSD), and will run Vista Home Premium or Home Basic. There's not much else in the way of info, save for the fact that the laptop will be available in three colors (Crimson Red, Champagne Gold, and Black Silk). Not quite the heart-stopper we were hoping for, and knowing Sony, likely not real netbook-ily priced, but still an interesting entry to the ever-widening field of teensy computers. Mobility Site — ... a Netbook. (or whatever term Psion wants us to use now) They are calling it the Sony P Series Vaio notebook. The specs are in line with other “netbooks”, but the screen resolution is much greater and knowing Sony, the build quality should be stellar. My wife had a 11″ screen on her Dell Inspiron and it was almost too tiny for my taste, I can only imagine what an 8″ screen is going to look like. Wow. jkOnTheRun — That mystery Sony Vaio we hit on recently is poised ready for announcement at CES next week.  UMPC Portal has some sketchy information about the Vaio P that tends to create as many questions as it answers.  According to those guys, the Vaio P has an Intel 1.33 GHz processor which makes one think it is the slow Atom processor.  Not an auspicious beginning if true.  They also report the P will come with 2 GB of RAM, a HDD (no capacity mentioned) or an optional SSD, GPS and UMTS.  The information also implies the P will start at less than $1,000 which pushes ...

Sony Vaio P now being delivered- unboxing ensues
jkOnTheRun — We were all over the sexy Sony Vaio P from the first rumors to the hands-on treatment at CES.  The Vaio P is the most portable notebook with a good keyboard we’ve seen and are fighting the urge to get the credit card out.  Jenn at Pocketables couldn’t fight the urge and has not only ordered one of these but has gotten it in her hands.  The mandatory unboxing has ensued and Jenn has posted a bunch of high quality pics of the Vaio P for us all to enjoy. ...
