Sony Vaio P catches some flack
SlashGear — ... One of Sony’s favorite things to say about the Vaio P is that it can fit in your pocket.  The prospect of having such a small device intrigued many people and made the Vaio P highly anticipated going into CES.  Good news?  The Vaio P seems like a great device.  Bad news?  It barely fits in your pocket, and Sony is paying the price. ...

Japanese Bloggers Don't Buy that the Sony Vaio P is Pocket-Sized [Sony]
Gizmodo — ... to show how small the new subnotebook is while also showing off an ass. It's a method I won't argue with. But some Japanese bloggers aren't buying it. I'm not quite sure what they're trying to say with these photos of them trying to stick much larger computers into their pockets. Are they saying that in the Vaio P photo the computer clearly won't fully fit in that pocket? Or are they just trying to show off their asses? In either case, uh, nice work? False Advertising? Sony Vaio P "Barely" Fits in Back Pocket
GeekSugar — Tight squeeze, eh Sony? Some new promo pics of the new VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC have enraged some Japanese bloggers who are ashamed by the ad's unrealistic size portrayal. Considering it is the world's lightest 8-inch notebook, it's not totally outlandish to assume it might be able to fit in the pocket of a pair of jeans. But then again, Jimmy Fallon could barely fit it in his jacket pocket, which leads to me believe a pair of my hip hugging jeans would definitely be out of the question. What do you think? Are ...

Sony VAIO Advertisment Attacked
High Tech Lounge — ... your back pocket. That’s where the P in its name comes from: it’s the Vaio Pocket. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have backpack sized pockets on the back of my pants… and neither do some guys from Japan. The center and right shots are spoofs of the ad spot, trying to shove an old ThinkPad and a new Macbook down into those pants pockets. Yeah, those don’t fit either, but at least the official Sony ad has a nicer derriere for us to look at. Sony VAIO Advertisment Attacked Source: crunchgear.com
