... different screens and I’m obviously a tad bit bullish on Android but squishing them together into 1 device with 2 screens?
Much of the mobile device challenge is enjoying a viewing/browsing experience on a limited screen size and this takes that problem and… enhances it. I might eat my words when this is launched but for now I think this is a case of 2 screens, 1 touch – in other words it is eating a big hunk of you know what.

This looks like a great idea, but Spring Design is not talking price yet, a crucial part of this innovative design. If it's about the price of a Kindle 2 (now $259, originally $359), count us in. Spring Design says it's still negotiating with content partners, and that Alex will be available by the end of this year.

If this is where ebook readers are going, I might just have to go out and buy one soon.

You can use this dual screen ebook reader for browsing the web, viewing images, hear sounds (songs?) making notes and watch video. Pretty like a slim PMP for reading texts. No word on the battery life though, but the enhanced Android OS is optimized to preserve the battery life although it has two screen to run.
No price tag yet, but it will be release on the end of this year.
