The lack of multitouch is a bit of a downer too, but easy to live withoutOverall, Android 1.0 is running remarkably smoothly - a good sign for Google’s first run at a mobile OS. As good as it may be, previous reports of 1.5 million in T-Mobile preorders may be bunk, so we’ll just have to wait to see if all this hype amounts to any actual popular interest.
