Asus EEE Top brings cheap touchscreen computing to the masses
DVICE Atom Feed — ... people on the go. And now Asus is bringing the same mindset to desktop computers. The EEE Top is a desktop computer with a 15.6-inch touchscreen monitor, perfect for going in the kitchen to look up recipes or check the news. It can use a keyboard and mouse, of course, but the touchscreen will make quickly clicking around a webpage super easy while allowing you to keep those peripherals in a drawer. Boing Boing Gadgets — ... touchscreen, featuring six USB ports, a 4-in-1 card readers, 160GB of hard drive space and the ubiquitous 1.6GHz Intel Atom and 1GB of RAM. It also comes pre-installed with the Eee cinema, a home multimedia center program. I actually like it quite a bit. It would make an excellent little computer for the kitchen counter: looking up recipes, playing music and watching the occasional video.
