Chronochrome - Another Overly Complicated Clock

... represents a different number, so you simply read it from left to right like a regular digital clock display. But that of course requires you to memorize what each color actually means, which sounds a bit too much like homework for my liking. The Chronochrome can also be set to cycle through the colors in various patterns, or dimmed if you’d prefer to use it as a night light. And it’s available from their website for about $73.

Chronochrome: Time Telling for Life Savers Fanatics [Clocks]
Gizmodo —
... displays time in simple 00:00:00 hour/minute/second format, but each number is represented by its own color. Sensibly, these numbers follow a pretty standard chromatic logic. And for those who don't want to sleep next to a whole Skittles bag worth of bad dreams, the clock doubles as a nightlight, displaying each digit in pure white. The Chronochrome runs $73, though you may have to do some convincing for the manufacturer to ship outside of the UK. [Chronochrome via ShinyShiny]

Chronochrome, the puzzling light-show clock

... numbers, with each pair of bars corresponding to either hours, minutes or seconds.
Too complicated? The clock will also show regular numerals in all those cheery colors, too. Or you can just nix the time-telling thing altogether, changing modes to a dim, black-and-white nightlight, or the "moodlight" mode, choosing between three different kooky light shows with subtle fades between colors. We like it, but it looks a bit cheaply made for $75.
