Toshiba Demos Coolest Pocket Projector Ever
The Raw Feed —
Toshiba very quietly demonstrated a TINY POCKET PROJECTOR at a recent European trade show. It's the same size as an HTC Touch Pro, but tosses up a whopping 10 Lumens! (That's good, right?) Details are few, but I have both pictures and a video demonstration of brightness!
Mini proyector Toshiba mostrado en el IFA 2008

... at this time is that it’s 100 grams in weight (solid little sucker - that’s almost a quarter pound), measures 10 x 4.5 x 1.7 cm in size and puts out just 10 lumens of light.
We just saw 3m’s MPro110, so it will be interesting to see how all these mini projectors stack up when the proverbial dust settles.

A Nerd's Dream: Toshiba's Pocket Projector in a Pocket Protector
Wired: Gadget Lab —
... new PICO projector from Toshiba reached my desk earlier today. Looking like the iPhone's fatter, younger cousin, Toshiba's secret entry into the Pico projector arena is proof that the big manufacturers are ready to take on this new tech. Previously, we'd heard of PICO projectors from relatively unknown companies like Optoma and Explay, who were ready to expand the market through stand-alone players. As of today, they've yet to be released.
The Toshiba PICO is rumored to produce up to 10 lumens of light, weighs only 100 grams, and measures 10 x ...
