That particular carrier is Sprint. Today it officially announced that there will be no change to its ETF policy in regards to this measure.
Sprint’s current ETF is set at $200 with it eventually decreasing to $50 when you are far enough through your contract.

... and the fees are still being prorated depending on what is left on your contract. Which means those looking to cancel an agreement with Sprint can expect to pay an ETF as high as $200 or as low as $50 if you are in month 19 or higher in your two year agreement.
So, basically nothing is new with the policy, but at the same time it is nice to see that there will not be any ripple coming down from the recent Verizon Wireless announcement.
