Skullcandy Wooden Earbuds: Love or Leave?
GeekSugar — I've seen a lot of wooden gadgets, and I've seen a lot of Skullcandy stuff; now it appears they have met, dated, and had a baby. I give you: Skullcandy's Wooden Earbuds ($99). The woodgrain on these make you look like an earth-crunchy eco-fiend - and are probably the cleanest design on a Skullcandy product that I've seen. You don't have to worry about hurting your ear canal with wood, either - there are rubber pads, of course. What do you think of these? Taking the wood tech thing too far, or right on trend? ...

Skullcandy wooden ear buds look great, for Skullcandies
Boing Boing Gadgets — ... musty as the woodgrain electronics of the 1980s still seen so prominently on the antediluvian VCRs perched atop the analog set boxes of neighborhood cat ladies... or the insect-infested Atari rotting at the neighborhood flea market. I hope not, since I'm just starting to get over my 90's formed objections to wood grain, and I think these Skullcandies have a wonderfully clean design. They are $99, which is outrageous for a pair of Skullcandies, but they look boss. Skullcandy Wooden Earbuds [Urban Outfitters]

DVICE Atom Feed — ... better constructed. Sure, wood doesn't really make gadgets perform any better than regular plastic, but it just looks so natural. And you can't argue with natural. Skullcandy knows this, which is why they've unveiled their wooden earbuds for people going for that natural look. Unfortunately, you'll pay dearly for that extra finish, as these earbuds are a whopping $99, which seems a touch unreasonable for what you're getting. But hey, wood! How can you say no? Skullcandy’s Wooden Earbuds
Coolest Gadgets — I always highly appreciate Skullcandy’s variety of color choices when it comes to their earbuds.  Granted, I still bought the black pair of earbuds, but I still like that I had the option to go for lime green or pink.  Well now Skullcandy has created a different style of earbuds, this time in wood-grain.  Making them one of the many to join in on the wood technology trend, which I will never understand no matter how hard I try. They claim to be eco-friendly, which is always a major bonus.  It also features a braided foil cord and a 3.5mm gold-plated plug.  From the looks of things you’ll only be finding these online, and won’t find them in your local electronics store.  Unfortunately, like most wood-grain products, this one is far more expensive than the normal pair of earbuds.  You’ll end up paying $99.99 on Urban Outfitters for ...
