The MID-160 has a 5 inch screen with a 800×480 pixel touch screen. The screen has 167,000 colors, which is a great achievement from something so small. The USI MID-160 weighs in at 250 grams and is just 1.5cm thick.
The Mobile Internet Device comes with an 8GB SSD, and comes complete with a microphone as well as instant communication software. The USI MID-160 comes complete with dual-band WiFi/WiMAX module, and an option for a 3G module.

The device runs Ubuntu, which is surely a welcome over any Windows OS. Portage includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, docking port, microSD slot, SIM slot, front facing webcam, and an ambient light sensor.

There’s also 8GB SSD under the hood for loading all the multimedia content and loads of connectivity options. Short range connectivity includes Bluetooth while the internet capable radios are Wi-Fi, HSDPA and dual-band WiMAX.
The availability and price is unconfirmed at the moment but we do expect it to show up before Christmas if they want to make some good money off it.
