In addition to unlocking the GPS (which Verizon promised Touch owners last year) the update adds Visual Voicemail support (for an extra $3/mo) and EVRC-B codec support. With this new update call handling should be much smoother, and Touch owners will finally be able to use Google Maps and Windows Live Search.
