Vlingo does more than voice dialing on the iPhone

You simply open the vlingo application, press and hold the “press and speak” button on your screen, and then say whatever it is you want to search for or update. Vlingo claims that users can speak normally—that is, no special commands are necessary for vlingo to work. It will be interesting to see how well this works in everyday use.

Vlingo for iPhone ya está disponible gratis para descargar en la App Store y por si les quedan dudas de como funciona, postearon un video. Lamentablemente, por ahora está sólo en inglés pero según nos había contado Tourn, el año que viene soportará varios idiomas.

... I just tried out the app a little bit myself, and I’ve got to say… it works really well! It actually worked better the first time around in comparison to the new Google app for the iPhone. At least for search. Seemed that the voice recognition actually functioned faster, and search results popped up faster as well. Could have been a number of factors contributing to that result, but that’s what I found
