With the release of the iPhone 3G smack in the middle of the month-end shopping frenzy, I’d look for the device to fly off the shelves. No details have been leaked regarding the number of units to be in-stock at each of the 488 stores, but I would suspect supplies are going to be limited.

One has to consider why Wal-Mart simply didn’t go for a before Christmas release though, and with the economic climate as it is, the chances are that after Christmas very few people will have any spare cash to even afford $197.00, one would have thought anyway.
