A non-digital photo frame tries to look digital
DVICE Atom Feed —
... that masquerades as a digital photo frame.
Yes, while that might look like a window you'd see on the screen of your Mac, it's a physical photo frame that takes physical pictures. There's no SD cart slot, no USB port, no power cord and no flash slideshow that pumps out music and video. It's just a plain old photo frame. And kind of an ugly one at that, if I do say so myself. If you're charmed by the gimmick, act now, as only 50 are going to be made before the holidays.

The Non-Digital Photo Frame, Because We Have a Planet to Save [Photography]
Gizmodo —
... suggest could be non-digital photo frames. Making a brief appearance around the turn of the century, these frames accepted one analog picture but were able to run without a source of power (AC adapter or solar) indefinitely. Now if only scientists could learn to harness this non-digital technology elsewhere, we just might have a fighting chance of breaking our dependence on foreign oil. Strong thesis, I know. But it's cool; the environment is sort of my thing. Wink. [I love blocks via ...
The "Sort Of" Digital Picture Frame
GeekSugar —
If you haven't warmed to the idea of digital picture frames yet, but are hot for Apple, then this Photoshop Picture Frame might be what you want!
The artist silk screens the window image onto the frame, and then you slip your photograph into the frame. I love the idea, but I'm pretty sure I'd be worried about how much battery I have left every time I looked at it.
Act fast if you're into it, because only about 50 will be produced for the holidays at $50 a piece.
Analog Photoshop photo frame by I Love Blocks
Boing Boing Gadgets —
These cute "photoshop photo frames" are just regular wooden frames silk-screened to look like a window from the OS X version of Adobe's image editing software, right down to the checkerboard background. They're going to sell for about $50 in a limited edition of 50. Complain about the price if you want — but it's an idea that would be plenty easy to emulate at home. With Photoshop.

Wooden Photo Frame Mimics Photoshop Window
Wired: Gadget Lab —
... these limited edition photo frames (there will be only 50 made). Think of it as the exact opposite of the LCD photo frame -- this one looks like a window from the OS X version of Photoshop, but is in fact a print, silkscreened onto a normal 4x5" wooden frame.
The best part, easily, is the checkered background, the standard PS background and transparency indicator. It's so good, in fact, that I would probably put this on the mantelpiece without a picture in it.
