The Most Realistic Unboxing of All Time [Clips]
Gizmodo —
Product unboxings are generally sterile affairs, boiled down to Hollywoodesque over simplicity, ignoring blister packs and steel-impervious plastic for magically opened, perfectly photographed gadgets. Well here's a real unboxing made for the rest of us. And to the average male Giz reader, the clip evokes the same vicarious pain of watching a guy get kicked in the stones. [via TUAW]

Watch the above video starting at about the one minute mark (hell, watch the whole thing if you have time). I don’t like to do a ton of unboxings but the ones that I do oftentimes feature gardening gloves and safety goggles.

Gone wrong: Now here's an unboxing for you
DVICE Atom Feed —
Notice you don't see many "unboxing" videos on DVICE. There's a good reason for that. They're stupid. Check out this one, the most realistic one yet, which serves as a lampoon of the futility of the whole worshipful unboxing genre.
We also tip our hats to its unsaid dig at the insane packaging of consumer electronics products, wrapped up like perishable candy bars in their bulletproof containers. Too bad we all have to pay a price — sometimes in blood — because of a few slimy shoplifters.

Video: Unboxing; Always Stupid, Sometimes Amusing
The UberReview —
Allow me to state for the record that I think that unboxing is dumb, unless of course it is incompetent unboxing, like in the video after the jump, because that is really funny. It is not often that I find myself laughing out loud at someone trying to free their latest piece of gadgetry from its plastic shackles, but this guy is so bad at it, he really makes it look funny.
