Ooops, with Thanksgiving and all, I missed the G1 auto-rotate post that our sister-site Uberphones had posted yesterday. As strange as it might seem, this was missing from the original release. I should hopefully be available soon, but I have not seen any download. Stay tuned!

If you own a T-Mobile G1, you certainly know that the screen orientation already changes from portrait to landscape when you slide out the keyboard. That said, the screen will not rotate when you simply turn the device in your hand… even though the accelerometer on-board is there to make this feature possible (you would think!?).
Good news is a hack…er… update is already being worked on that will rotate the screen for you. In the video above, you’ll notice that when the device is turned, the screen turns… Turn it back to its original orientation, and it turns back. ...
