BlackBerry Storm Screen Scratch Test
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
If you’re the new owner of a BlackBerry Storm, or just considering a purchase… You’ve no doubt had some concerns about the actual screen, and more importantly if the screen scratches easily.
In the video above, Brian from CES911 demonstrates how scratch-proof the screen on the Storm actually is. First off he takes some sort of nasty looking knife to the screen. No scratches. Next he takes one of those things you see at restaurants where they keep receipts. He vigorously goes at the screen on his Storm with that… Still no scratches. Finally, he initiates the ...
BlackBerry Storm Display Scratch Resistance Torture-Test (Impressive)

This is certainly a test that you would rather have done on a phone that is not yours. This BlackBerry storm user shows us how confident he is that his BlackBerry storm will resist various scratch sources, including keys... but also a Benchmade tanto knife (it's really pointy and made of ATS-34, a super-hard steel). The Storm's display holds and there's no apparent scratches in the video. This doesn't mean that your BlackBerry will protect you from bullets - merely that it's not as easily scratched as one might think. Via Uberphones

Just in case you were wondering how scratch resistent the screen on the BlackBerry Curve is, it looks to be pretty resistent. I, however, still STRONGLY reccomend that, if you have a BlackBerry Storm or plan on getting one, you invest in some type of screen protector like Invisible Shield or something similar.
The BlackBerry Storm actually comes with a screen protector already on it but it appears to be the kind that will wear out over time. Do yourself a favor and buy a screen protector. They are definitely worth the $7.00 to $20.00 that you will pay for them. ...
The Blackberry Storm Screen Takes on a Knife [Clips]

Yes, my friends, the Blackberry Storm screen may be the hardest material on Earth. I enjoyed watching some guy take his pocket knife to the Blackberry Storm screen with nary a scratch, but things only get better as our host frantically searches around the room for a sharp enough implement to upstage his first trick. A knife and a storm/a bottle and a cork: The Storm gets jabbed

If you heard PHa complaining a few days ago about the Storm, you’d want to stab the thing too. But, as we see here, all of your thrusting would be for naught because the device is impervious to earth weaponry.
Should you do this to your own Storm? If Peter and the rest of the ...

If you are wondering how durable your BlackBerry Storm screen is you can check out this video. This guy actually takes a knife to the BB Storm screen. We do not recommend trying this yourself, but it is an interesting test. Looks like the BlackBerry Storm screen holds up well under stress....
