iPhone hope? Pastebud bringing Copy and Paste between Safari and Mail

Ladies and Germs, we have news. Copy and Paste might finally come to your iPhone. This clever method bypasses the App store by utilizing two Javascript bookmarks and web services that doesn’t require any software installation. The service, dubbed Pastebud, is launching tomorrow and according to the video above, seems to work well. Perfect? Nope, but a hella big step forward.

The elusive iPhone Copy and Paste is getting to be something of a joke, and the latest punchline comes from Pastebud, a yet-to-be released workaround which will let you move text around your iPhone.
Instead of hooking in to the iPhone's guts and working some illegal magic there, Pastebud works by combining two Javascript bookmarks (named, of course, Copy and Paste) with some online web-service jiggery-pokery. The video shows us how:

If you’re using an iPhone, chances are you’re frothing at the mouth for a real copy/paste feature to be added to the device OS. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will actually become a reality at MacWorld this coming year (in January), but we’ve been waiting for this for awhile… So don’t be surprised if it doesn’t surface.
