The iPhone 3GS lands tomorrow in over 200 Apple stores and 2,200 AT&T; outlets across the country, but before the muchly anticipated gadget gets there it has to be boxed up and shipped off. That happens in facilities such as the AT&T; distribution center above in Ft. Worth, Texas. Just look at 'em go!
All is well and good and then — whoops! — right at 45 seconds a fellow in the background tosses a box to his coworker, who can't quite get a hold on it. At least the iPhones inside were still in their protective packaging.

If you look at all of those phones and multiply that by 299.99 plus the ones that get sold without contracts you get a large heap of money, probably more than some people make a year… My comment on this video is SWEET JESUS

Last night when I took my dogs out, there was no line at the Apple Store in SoHo. This morning when I took them out again, the line was a paltry 1/3rd of a block, nothing compared to last year's madness. (However, Engadget reports the 5th Avenue line is pretty bad.)
A large part of that probably has to do with the fact that most people in line will be first-time buyers, as previous iPhone owners will not get the subsidized price.
