HTC Touch Diamond Has Hardware Multi-Touch Support
SolSie.com —
HTC Touch Diamond Has Hardware Multi-Touch Support A great finding by Wmpoweruser that proves the HTC Touch Diamond has indeed a navi-wheel capacitive, and he whole front of the device can track finger movements, and even two fingers independently. To prove this capability, the author video taped an application called Nav Debug Tool by HTC . Unfortunately, the latest version of Windows Mobile does not support this function. WM users have to wait until next version WM7. But we hope now the cat is out. Somebody will reverse engineer the API the same way they did with the accelerometer API. HTC Diamond's Hidden Multitouch Revealed [Htc Diamond]
Gizmodo —
If you're reading the back of the HTC Diamond's box, it doesn't show some little child laughing with glee as he pinches in and out of webpages or draws with two fingers at once, in fact, it doesn't even list multitouch as a feature at all.
HTC Touch Diamond/Pro has multi-touch?
Mobilewhack.com —
Yes and no, from the looks of this video. The area around the navi-wheel seems to be able to recognize two finger inputs at the same time with the help of an application called Nav Debug Tool. Not the touchscreen itself like the iPhone/ iPhone 3G ...
