How did I miss this? Warcraft 3 + Multi-Touch = awesome
CrunchGear —
What the hell, this looks amazing. I simply cannot wait until I literally pound on my enemies in order to attack. And as you can see, it’s no weak application of the touchscreen interface: he’s dragging, he’s using multiple fingers, and I’m sure a competent developer (Blizzard, ...
WarCraft III On Multi-touchscreen Display
Ubergizmo —
PQ Labs has developed a multi-touch solution that can be integrated to just about any LCD or plasma displays, allowing one to play WarCraft III using nothing but their bare fingers. Imagine hitting your enemy with a fist to signal an attack, although in a frantic match, you might end up breaking the screen instead due to the force involved. While this might be a novel way to play WarCraft III, it definitely won't be able to beat the speed of a seasoned campaigner wielding a mouse and a keyboard combo. Best to get a screen cleaner if you want to get your game on in this way, since oily fingerprints are a bane to any display. ...
World of Warcraft on a multitouch display ups the cool factor threefold
Newlaunches.com —
Ever wondered how awesome it could be, to play the latest World of Warcraft game on a massive multitouch display screen? Dream no more, watch the video above and drool over the Multi-Touch Warcraft game demo by the PQ Labs. The game requires the player to either use the fist or fingers to control the in game avatars. Multi-Touch G2 from PQLabs, iTable coming soon
Newlaunches.com —
PQLabs_iTable.jpg The Multi-Touch G2 from PQLabs looks to offering an attachment that hooks on to your existing 32-inch (or larger) set with double-sided tape. In the process it gives you multi-touch sensitivity, enough finger space to go touch-happy! The firm is also coming out with the iTable, which is a multi-touch panel with a built-in computer. We'll forgive you for remembering the Microsoft Surface for this moment. The Multi-Touch G2 will be selling for $2,399, which may deter the avid gamer, considering its reflexive responses to the Warcraft 3. No pricing for the iTable is out as yet. [image] Source
