MAKE Magazine — This morning's planetary-gear motorcycle wheel post has induced an epicyclic fury in my heart that is terrible to behold. Here's a couple of gems from the inevitable YouTube frenzy. The first, above, shows a set of elliptical gears (ho-hum), and then proceeds to show some pretty amazing non-circular planetary trains.
