Latest Snow Leopard Developer Build Breaks Hackintosh Support... Again [Hackintosh]
Gizmodo —
Enough with the back and forth already, Apple. If you're going to kill Atom support then just kill it. Don't toy with us, taking and giving like some sort of merciless god. The video above shows what happens if you try to boot the latest 10.6.2 developer build on a Hackintosh. As you can see, not much. So if you're running OS X on Atom hardware, hold off on any upgrades until this whole mess gets sorted out. [OS X Daily]

Apple Breaks Atom Compatibility Again?
Ubergizmo —
Does Apple like playing cat-and-mouse with various parties? Well, if the iTunes and Palm Pre issue is anything to go buy, Apple might get a little satisfaction out of it. You might have read the recent news of the latest OSX builds working (or not working) on Intel’s Atom processors. After it seems that everything was OK in hackintosh-land, latest reports seem to indicate that OSX doesn’t jive with the Atom again. Check out the video.

A few days ago I reported that beta builds of the new Mac OS X 10.6.2 beta build could no longer be installed on netbooks running Atom processors, effectively spiking the popular Hackintosh builds. Well, reports came out that a new beta build DID support Atom chips again, so it must have all been a development errors, no worries.
Well, in the newest beta build, it is broken again as the video below using an MSi Wind, that most hackintoshable of netbooks, verifies. It looks like we will be seeing Atom support coming and going from OS X beta builds from now on. Some bloggers are asking, since the Atom situation is beginning to mirror game Apple has been playing with the iPhone ...
