There's no denying the Pre has several huge advantages over the iPhone family when it comes to gaming, especially the hardware keyboard, and it looks like it won't be lacking in the graphical department, either. Ubergizmo — It is testament to just how far cellphone and smartphone processors have come these days, with the Palm Pre being powerful enough to run PSOne titles on it. After all, rather similar hardware is also used in the new iPhone 3GS and Pandora gaming handheld, so it is no wonder that Wipeout XL on the Pre zips by pretty impressively. Unfortunately, there is still no sound output but the developer of psx4all will work around that problem in due time. Can't wait till Final Fantasy Tactics makes its way to the Pre... Gadget Venue — PS1 Emulator Ported to a Palm Pre A guy nicknamed ZODTTD recently purchased a Palm Pre, quickly rooted (equivalent of jailbreak for you iPhone lot) it and then successfully installed the psx4all PS1 emulator on to it. As to be expected, there are a few quirks to be ironed out such as issues with the sound and screen scaling, but on the whole it appears to work well from what we can see in the video below.
