Preview psx4iphone on your 3GS now!
The Iphone Spot —
For those who have an iPhone 3GS, you’re probably aware of how much faster this model runs over all previous Apple handheld devices. This is evident in my YouTube video posted in my previous newsbit of gpSPhone running on the 3GS.
I now have psx4iphone running very speedy on the 3GS. It’s at the point where Final Fantasy 7 is fullspeed at very least without sound. The build is rough around the edges, as you can’t switch games without restarting the emulator, and only memory card saves are currently working, no save states just yet. Both these issues are being worked on.
So how would you like to ...

iPhone 3GS's Upgraded Hardware Means Console Emulators No Longer Suck [IPhone]
Gizmodo —
Console emulators were one of the first orders of business when the jailbreak scene took off two years ago, but they've always been plagued by stuttering framerates—especially the more ambitious ones. Most impressive? As you can see in the video above, Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation runs perfectly. ...

iPhone 3GS Emulator Rocks
Ubergizmo —
We know that the "S" suffix in the iPhone 3GS stands for speed, and the engineers at Apple sure as heck weren't kidding when they touted the handset's speed improvement since it is able to handle near flawless emulation of older games from the PlayStation and GBA consoles. What caught our attention is a video of Final Fantasy VII being played at nearly PSOne speeds, making us drool in anticipation of reliving classics on both platforms with our shiny new cellphones.
