iPhone OS running on 24-inch multi-touch display!
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
Wow. We’ve always secretly longed for a larger, higher-resolution multi-touch display on the iPhone. But, this is just bonkers! What you see below is the bona-fide iPhone OS stretching its legs on a monstrous 24-inch display.
Not only is the iPhone OS splayed out across 24-inches of eye candy, the display apparently supports multi-touch inputs and even orientation changes. That is, if all this proves to be legit. Actually, who cares if it’s fake. It looks amazing.
More importantly, if the iPhone 3G S runs iPhone OS 3.0 anything close to as fast as what we’re seeing in ...
iPhone OS on a touchscreen monitor, multi-touch and all
CrunchGear —
Now this is the hack of the weekend or the hoax of the weekend. Some intrepid hackers have run what appears to be iPhone OS 2.x on a “multi-touch” monitor with accelerometer support. I’ve found a few examples of monitors that could potentially pull this off but I haven’t been able to pin down a model number. However, because iPhone OS is basically a Linux Kernel it should be bootable on Intel hardware - at least in an emulator mode - and all of this is feasible.
We’ll do a little digging but as it stands it’s an impressive hack.
iPhone OS On Monster Display
Ubergizmo —
Most people are satisfied with what they see on the iPhone's already generous display when compared to other handsets in the market, but here's something that will take the cake - the iPhone OS appearing on a huge 24" external display that supports multi-touch input as well as orientation changes. Or at least, that's what the video seems to show although there isn't any verification yet on whether this is real or fake. What do you think?

iPhone OS Running on a Big Screen Mac Pro!
The iPhone Blog —
See above. Dreamfield.se (via CruchGear) has hacked iPhone OS 2.x to run on a multi-touch monitor of a Mac Pro desktop.
It’s not the iTablet we’ve all been waiting for, and likely more than a little bit of an arm workout, but as iPhone hacks go it’s impressive. Most impressive.

Giant iPhone video is cool, but quite fake
IPhone news, updates and Iphone information —
Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Desktops, Hardware, Rumors, Odds and ends, Apple, iPhone, App Store This video is making the rounds lately -- on first glance, it looks someone running the iPhone OS on a Mac Pro with a 24" multitouch monitor. As you can see, everything more or less works as you'd expect, and therein lies the rub: anyone who's looked at it with a critical eye, including our friend and former TUAW-er CK Sample III, has pronounced it fake. I'd have to agree -- besides the fact that it comes from a visual effects house, the picture flipping at about :56 is a ...
