New Products From ThinkGeek Include Tauntaun Sleeping Bag, USB Pet Rock
OhGizmo! — By Evan Ackerman ThinkGeek has released a bevy of new products today. My favorite of the bunch has to be this Tauntaun sleeping bag, complete with lightsaber zipper pull and toasty warm faux-intestine liner. It’s not as warm as sleeping inside a real freshly dead animal, but I bet it smells a heck of a lot better. You can get this for about $40, but you’ll have to wait for it to be shipped in from the ThinkGeek wearhouse on Hoth. A couple more new products, after the jump. [ USB Pet Rock ] ...

Squeez Bacon actually not a bad idea
CrunchGear — A ketchup-like bottle filled with bacon paste may never hit the market in real life, but perhaps it should. It’d go perfect with Batter Blaster pancakes and there’d be very little cleanup involved. Plus if you use bacon bits already, bacon paste is pretty much a lateral move. Squeez Bacon comes to us on April 1st from ThinkGeek.com: Each tube contains 21oz (595g) of Squeez Bacon®. 16 servings - equivalent to 64 slices of bacon! Bottled in Sweden, made from U.S. bred swine. Shelf Life of 12 years. No refrigeration needed. Jätte gott! ...

Second Generation Pet Rock is USB-Powered, Still Does Nothing [USB]
Gizmodo — Maybe I'm just not a good pet owner, but I never understood the original Pet Rock. Mine just sat there holding down papers on my desk and refused to eat. Looks like this USB-powered one doesn't do much either. Like the tauntaun sleeping bag, the USB Pet Rock is another case of an April Fools Day joke turning into a real product. This is the joke video from earlier in the year: You can order your own USB Pet Rock for $10 at ThinkGeek. Just don't ask me to tell you what to do with it. I still try to feed Fido without success.
Comptez 10$.

USB powered pet rock is a total sucker!
Newlaunches.com — USB_pet_rock.jpg Why do we keep pets? To get us entertained and keep us company and have someone to shower our excess love, time, energy and money on. But hey, the pet rock doesn’t need much of that nor does it reap the benefits for us that we derive from cats and dogs. This one’s an inspiration from the original idea. [image] ...
