VMWare For Mobile Devices Lets You Run Windows and Android Simultaneously [Virtualization]
Gizmodo —
Ok, this is even cooler than we expected: a Nokia N800, loaded with VMWare's MVP hypervisor, is seen here running Windows CE and Android, at the same time. This is a big deal! What you're watching is, admittedly, virtualization. The MVP hypervisor is a small (20KB) "bare metal" virtual machine which runs beneath the phone's OS(es). What this effectively does is create an identical platform on each and every device it's installed on, allowing OSes to be installed like apps (as in desktop virtualization, they're called "appliances"). Since it's the virtual machine that interfaces with the device's hardware, you can ...

What’s this? Windows CE and Android running on the same device? Is the universe collapsing into a black hole? Oh noes!
VMWare says it’s in talks with handset manufacturers to offer this sort of virtualization but somehow we doubt we will see this outside of geekland anytime soon. It seems a tad over the head of the average consumer. Still, a great proof of concept and something most of us would love to play with.

VMWare lets you run multiple operating systems on a single computer or server. And now VMWare has come to smart phones, allows smartphones to run multiple operating systems.
The VMWare on mobile phones is the same with other VMWare’s virtualization products, allows users to load multiple operating systems (Windows CE, Android etc) on a single mobile device. For now, the product is still at its pretty infancy stage, which allows to work on smartphones that are powered by processors of ARM Cortex-A8 or Cortex-A9 designs only. Take a look at the video below that shows VMWare in action on a phone. ...
