WiiGator to Load Gamecube Backups Without Modchips [Mods]
Gizmodo —
Through software alone, WiiGator promises to load backups of Gamecube games on the Wii. Loaded through the Homebrew Channel, WiiGator seems to work well enough in this video clip. But, according to the sharp eyes of one YouTube commenter, the gameplay does seem to be a bit quicker than normal...by two or three times. Hopefully issues like that are precisely why the bugs are still being worked out. And for a complete instructions to hacking the Wii, check out John Mahoney's handy guide. [via Maxconsole]

WiiGator’s Gamecube loader for Wii Homebrew Channel! Viva la revolucion!
CrunchGear —
Change the system from within! Wiigator has created an app that will load pirated Gamecube games without a mod chip, allowing you to play a number of exciting games including… ummm… Mario Kart? What else was good on Gamecube?
It seems to work but is apparently a little buggy because it runs the apps at 2 to 3 times the natural speed. N.B. - turn down the volume. The background music is a little sassy. You can use a WiiGator GameCube launcher. A few videos, have been hanging around on the net, demoing how the stuff works. If you see it, it seems to work. But, I guess we just have to wait to have a first hand experience. Other than the videos, no other info is avalaible yet.
And I also know that some of you are thinking about the copyright. But, the fun of it kind of putting the subject aside, doesn’t it ? Heck, if ...
Gamecube Loader Bypasses Mod Chip
Ubergizmo —
While everyone else is busy with their Xbox 360s, PS3s and Nintendo Wiis, there are some who prefer to play with retro classics on the Gamecube. A hacker is apparently working on a Gamecube loader which supposedly allows you to boot up Gamecube backup copies without the need to include a mod chip. Watch the video above and decide for yourself whether this is the real deal or not. Bear in mind we here at Ubergizmo do not condone piracy of games, music and videos, and software.
