Windows 7 pre-beta on a MacBook Pro

Curious to see what the pre-beta build of Windows 7 would be like on a Mac system? Well the folks at PC Magazine/Gearlog did exactly this by installing the pre-beta build delivered at last week’s PDC on a new MacBook Pro system using Bootcamp. Unfortunately it appears the Mac drivers for Windows Vista did not help with Windows 7 as various features were not working including wireless networking, and mouseover preview. They’ve posted a video up on YouTube (shown below).

Here are two videos showing Windows 7 Beta installed and running on a new MacBook Pro. The first video below is of torren version and the second one below shows off straightforward walkthrough, and head on past the break for a video of the latest beta in action on a unibody MacBook Pro. The installation was a clean install over Vista using Bootcamp, which was already running on the system. We couldn’t just upgrade because the Macbook wasn’t running SP1.
